Needless to say, having the President threatening genocide has left me a bit distraught. Tonight, in his ignorance, he may kill up to 90 million people, start WWIII and leave the world subject to nuclear attracts... bio-weapons... and then... the end. There are so man world wide tragedies that could happen. One virus, that makes Captain Trips look like a simple head cold, is not hard to imagine.
I'm praying for the people Of Iran, my fellow Americans, and the 25th Amendment!

Here Comes Trouble
Are you going? This Saturday, March 28th, will be time to get off my butt get over to the college, and let my voice be heard at the, No Kings Rally, Stockton! I have a little peep voice, but I am sure Mark Ruffalo and Robert Di Nero would be proud that I am doing my part. I'm joking, of course, but frankly I'm proud we've decided to go! We are getting our chance to take a stand! I've been struggling with whether it really matters, in that we are basically in a cold WWIII? Does it matter if we never know when a miscalculation will occur, and kablooey... boy wasn't that a nice life we had? Does it matter if... WAIT... stop brain of mine, you know the answers to all the questions running through your head! The answers are EXACTLY why it matters! We have a madman in the White House. We have endured his behavior for over a decade. He has taken years off all our lives, without anyone brave enough to stop him! Folks have tried. Jack Smith tried. And we all know where we ended up.
But it didn't defeat us, and we can take our country back! We can! Thank GOD those who never backed down are still helping the rest of us fight back. Heroes every one of them. One such hero is Robert Di Nero. He keeps fighting. Recently, he was a guest on Nicolle Wallace's podcast, The Best People, with Nicolle Wallace, and I found his words about the times we are in inspiring! He sets a profound example of how we should be engaging regarding these unprecedented times we are in. Towards the end of the interview he talks a little about why he doesn't count on the word, "hope" anymore. I agree with him. Hope is one of those words we are taught from childhood to use as a crutch, or too ease our feelings. Hope doesn't work. Action works! So off I go, ready to do more than just hope! I should have know by the ashen face on Marco Rubio, at the State of the Union, that something ridiculously bad was about to happen, in terms of the middle east. Because Trump is a liar, how can I trust anything he says about Iran being a direct threat to the United States? My gut instinct is that yesterday we were in no danger, but now we are. This is very bad. All my questions about this time we are in is like, air raid sirens everywhere.
While in the Cosumnes River Preserve the other day, I found a stick on a bridge that reminded me of everything spooky. The stick figures hanging in the trees in the, Blair Witch Project, were the same types of figures in American Horror Story seasons Coven, and Roanoke. Was this a stick monster? Or maybe an omen of some evil to come? Nah, it was just a really cool stick, but it's fun to consider it, because when horror is done right, it can inspire the creative mind to imagine, what if? Like the movie Halloween points out, sometimes the Boogeyman wins, and when he does, it can take your whole life to defeat him.
We are in that situation right now with the upcoming election. Donald Trump is a boogeyman, and he is coming at us relentlessly. Will he win again? Even if he loses will it all be over? What horrific deals has he already done with world leaders?What is coming at us in the next 32 days that will shake us to our core. I love being scared, but this is not the kind of scared I want to be. We have already began our scary movie-a-thon for October, I will get it caught up here soon. I can't wait to share what horror movies we will be watching. Hopefully, watching them will help me deal with the high jinks of the biggest monster of them all! One recommendation I will make right now is, The Devil's Advocate. It will give you chills, for obvious reasons.
