Christmas Rated PG-13 Strong Language, Adult Situations

"Moneys scarce, times are hard,
here's your fucking Christmas card."

~Phillis Diller

We never made it to Union Square yesterday. Hostages situations. New home blues. Total discombobulation in general. BAH HUMBUG! That's how we felt until about noon, or so, then Alan and I decided to take the sticks out of our asses and head for the Tilden Park Merry-Go-Round Christmas Fantasy. A family tradition of ours, the day after Thanksgiving, for years! It never fails to bring the smiles back to our faces, and put the Christmas spirit back into our hearts. This is year two of the new management, and it's not quite the same as when we first discovered the magic, but the carousel animals have been freshly painted, and the places looks so happy that it's hard to dwell in the past. The new owners are doing their best to keep the tradition alive, so we are just going to go and enjoy the Christmas Spirit.

And to those who have their Candy Cane's up their Asses about it...

BAH FUCKING HUMBUG!
They Are Doing The Best They Can!
And To All A Good Night!

FaLaLaLa... Black Friday Is Here!

"I went shopping at the general store...
they wouldn't let me buy anything specific."

~Steven Wright

It's one of our favorite days of the year... BLACK FRIDAY! And Alan and I are ready for the fun! You see, it's not the shopping that really intrigues us, rather it's the people watching that we adore! People go crazy... they are rude, mean-spirited and selfish, but by the same token we have also seen folks let other folks take the very last "Black Friday Doorbuster" as well. Granted, not as often as we have seen the competitive shoppers, but it does happen. Once Alan and I saw two ladies carrying their super Black Friday bargains all lined up on a shower rod. There must have been thirty bags between them, and they were running onto the next bargain! Alan and I laughed for most of the day, and marveled at the amazing idea! So, off to the fun for 2015! What in the world will we see this time? Check back here this weekend to see what we saw!

Thankfulness

"Even in the midst of the storm, the sun is still shining."

~Dayna Lovely

California is finally getting rain! And snow! I love a cold, dark, rainy Thanksgiving, because it makes for a cuddly, lazy day with Alan and the boys. It's been forever since we all took a long nap together, while the cold rain outside sang us to sleep. I am hoping for rain on Thanksgiving, but alas, I think it will only be partly cloudy. Oh well, that's fine, bottom lining it we are together, and happy, and yes, THANKFUL. While 2015 has been nothing short of turbulent, it's also held some wonderful surprises! After all, we had NO idea we would be in our own home this year, and yet here we are, and despite all the uncertainty we are happy. That's because of the love we feel for each other, the fur babies included, we are just happy we are together, nothing else matters.

And for that I am truly thankful!

The Leaf Of The Day For Tuesday, November 24th 2015

"The human spirit must prevail over technology."

~Albert Einstein

If only there were real geniuses like Albert Einstein around today! If only they hired ONLY geniuses, like Albert Einstein at AT&T Uverse, perhaps someone could finally resolve my TV and Internet issues! Someone was supposed to call me tonight, to reschedule my service call... they haven't... so here I sit, with only spotty connectivity. So, tonight I am simply posting the Leaf Of The Day for Tuesday, rather than one of my long winded, repetitive rants and about nonsense. Please... no applause necessary! LOL! See, I haven't quite lost my sense of humor about my TV tiling in and out, and the occasional full stop of my service all together. Hell, at this point all I can do is laugh. But there is a bit of serious involved as well. I have to pay my mortgage at the end of the week, and if I don't use the Internet to do it, I get charged an extra $12.00. And I would like to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, not capitalism, and by the way, we live in a very unstable time. God forbid... who knows how many more parades are in any of our futures? We don't. We really don't.

November Photo Jaunting

"Fallen leaves lying on the grass in November sun
 bring more happiness than daffodils."

~Cyril Connolly

I love that quote. Alan gets a couple extra days off this week for the holiday, so hopefully we can make our way up to the snow soon. It's been a long time since I felt snow in my hand, or heard it make a slushy sound under my feet. I would love to go on a warm November day. Well, a sunny November day anyway! LOL. I want to get out and get back to being me, the me who goes looking for the adventure. It's all waiting for me, I just need to find the energy. It hasn't helped that several times when I did have the energy to go photo jaunting, I suddenly had to change plans to wait for the Uverse repairman to come out and fix our constantly down service!

We have two play a bit of catch-up because my AT&T Uverse service went out again yesterday. SIGH! My patience is quickly running out. As of later today, the 19th repairman since September 9th will be attempting to fix my service! Ugg!
