I get up every day thinking that it will be the day when I hear that Donald Trump had fallen15 points behind Kamala Harris in the polls. Not only has that not happened, but Harris is the one slipping downward, despite the violent speech and promise of installing a fascist state once elected, coming from Trump. It's like living with Pennywise the Dancing Clown every day, and the citizens of the United States are just as cowardly and forgetful as the citizens of, Derry Maine. The people of Derry ignored the danger that cycled around every 30 years or so, but in America's case, it seems our memories fade a lot sooner than that. Case in point, did COVID fatigue cause you to forget the real danger Trump posed during the pandemic?And did you forget he incited a mob to attempt to overthrow the United States? I can go on with his list of evils, but do you really need me to help you remember, or do you know deep down, without me reminding you of a thing, that Donald John Trump poses a real and genuine threat to our very lives?

While in the Cosumnes River Preserve the other day, I found a stick on a bridge that reminded me of everything spooky. The stick figures hanging in the trees in the, Blair Witch Project, were the same types of figures in American Horror Story seasons Coven, and Roanoke. Was this a stick monster? Or maybe an omen of some evil to come? Nah, it was just a really cool stick, but it's fun to consider it, because when horror is done right, it can inspire the creative mind to imagine, what if? Like the movie Halloween points out, sometimes the Boogeyman wins, and when he does, it can take your whole life to defeat him.

 

We are in that situation right now with the upcoming election. Donald Trump is a boogeyman, and he is coming at us relentlessly. Will he win again? Even if he loses will it all be over? What horrific deals has he already done with world leaders?What is coming at us in the next 32 days that will shake us to our core. I love being scared, but this is not the kind of scared I want to be. We have already began our scary movie-a-thon for October, I will get it caught up here soon. I can't wait to share what horror movies we will be watching. Hopefully, watching them will help me deal with the high jinks of the biggest monster of them all! One recommendation I will make right now is, The Devil's Advocate. It will give you chills, for obvious reasons.

Yep, that's right, there has been a second attempt at an assassination of Donald Trump. It was just about two months ago that the last one took place. Make no mistake, I do not condone political violence, in any way, but somehow when I heard the news that there had been a shooting in Florida, at this golf course, it didn't even particularly raise my interest, but throughout the day I have checked on the details, but it's just really hard to care about what happens next. This should be a time to celebrate our freedoms in America, we are about to enjoy our most precious act as American's... voting. But every day he, and J. D. Vance find new darker roads to take us down. Just this morning J.D. Vance admitted to making up stories and sharing them with constituents and the media for political gain. It's sick. And how can we not expect their actions to not effect folks who are perhaps mentally ill, and needing help? No one is safe in this political climate. I don't love what happened today, but nothing will surprise me when I wake up tomorrow. That's what he's done to us. We are all numb.

Trump isn't having a very good week, and it's only Tuesday. Michael Cohen is on the witness stand as we speak, testifying in the New York fraud trial. He has the receipts to cause the complete collapse of the Trump fortune. That is worse for Donald Trump, in his eyes, money has seemingly been his sole focus his entire life. His only companion and only love. Not his siblings. Not his wives. Not his children. Not his friends, if he indeed has any, no one, just money. And as for those around him flipping, that's what you get when you surround yourself with sycophants.

As someone pointed out on X, apparently she wasn't even a coffee girl! That makes her less useful to Donald Trump than George Papadopoulos! You know, the guy who served as an unpaid foreign policy adviser to Donald Trump's campaign. He eventually plead guilty to lying to the FBI about his Russian contacts, while he was working on the campaign. Afterwards, Trump claimed he barely knew him, and basically Papadopoulos amounted to a low level staffer, coffee boy, if you will.

Trump pulling this move doesn't really surprise me. He's a prick and has a strong history of denying association, once one of his musings or highly criminal moves, goes to Hell. But is this one going to bite him in the ass? Is he not playing with the future jury pool? Could his words in the post be considered some sort of threat? His crazy cultists will more than likely threaten her, now that he has officially cut her lost from the inner circle. And there seems to me that he mentions her in a  slightly good light, only to perhaps give her one last chance?

 

Well, one thing is sure regarding his post, he just denied that Sidney Powell was retained as his lawyer, which means all confidentiality is now gone, and she is free to tell everything she knows and then some, and he has NO recourse but the publicly bash her, and lie, which will eventually be addressed by the judge in this case, or whatever, I've lost track. I really have! But I am sure Fani Willis will have something to say about this post. This coming week ought to be interesting! I am so tired. LOL.

If I can see it, why can't these people see it too? How he ever got anyone to support him is baffling to me. I guess it's just how cults work.

He did it again. He was told to take down a series of posts on on social media, and beyond, harassing a court clerk of Judge Engoran, who is presiding over the New York civil fraud trial. He didn't. The offending  post remained on his campaign website... for the last 17 days. Sigh. 

 More to come, but, I really don't see him getting to New Year's Eve without serving some sort of jail time. He can't keep his mouth shut, or follow simple directions. He just can't.

I think he might be afraid. If he is, it will be the first time that I can think of where he responded correctly to his situation. Of course he might just be pissed off. Shrug. The video is live, so it will end eventually, but justice is just beginning. 

 

Trump has been put on the witness list, will he eventually testify? Or will he take the Fifth Amendment? I guess he will shut up in court, but run his mouth anywhere he can find a hot mic. Although we will find out this week about whether he will have at least a partial gag order coming his way. Fun times ahead.

On June 13th, Donald John Trump was finally arrested for taking classified documents from the White House, when he left office and storing them at two his various homes. For what reason? Hell if I know! I don't know. Maybe to brag? Maybe to impress women? Maybe to sell to a hostile foreign nation for money? Any of those things could be true! He has never had a consistent explanation since this story erupted in the press last year. But what I do know is that he was asked, nicely, and given a lot more leeway than other folks in the same position have been given, to return them to the National Archives. He chose not to, despite telling the powers that be, including his lawyer, that he had returned everything. Big surprise, he lied. Let me repeat... HE LIED! So now he is under arrest again, under among other statutes,the Espionage act, because he just can't bring himself to NOT BE STUPID! Since his arrest, he has continually changed his story in the press, which is fine, because it's not going to help his case, at all, and frankly I don't wish him any good luck at all! He is incredibly dangerous, and he needs to go to prison. It seems like there is some kind of light at the end of the tunnel, but the true glee I thought I would feel, is instead, just plan relief. 

Its going to be a long hot summer.

 

 I just wish Treat could be here to watch it all play out. He genuinely cared about this country and I think he wanted to see the Trump years out, wherever it took us. Carl Reiner did too, and I still miss his wisdom daily. I will think of those two men as go along, and of course, as each verdict is read. Carl, Treat, you are in my heart, today and every day.
