Ugh. Blech. On Thursday night, Trump will deliver a primetime speech, which has all the possibilities of being one of his most terrifying moments our country has faced. I am already stressed out. Will he end free and fair elections in his speech? Will he declare Martial Law? Will he unseat the two senators from, Georgia? Is he panicking? Will he simply deliver his usual long string of  unhinged, repetitive, whiny nonsense? Or has his Acting Attorney General, Todd Blanche, provided him with fake evidence that brings all of their favorite election interference conspiracy theories to life? Who knows what he will say, he almost always goes off script.

What do we do if he declares the 2020 Georgia election results invalid?

 What happens then?

I am terrified about so many things. Todd Blanche has a confirmation hearing later today and I have a little hope that he won't be confirmed, but at this point I hate dealing in hope. I will be watching it. It starts in a little 3 hours from now. At least I hope I will be awake. It's my plan to be awake. Sigh. I mean who can sleep? I still have so many questions just ruminating through my mind. Trump needs to be impeached and removed from office for obvious reasons. The only hope we have of that is the upcoming election, when we can take the house and senate.

Growing up I didn't have any idea that this would be what my life would be at 64. I knew physical pain came with growing older, but I never knew that I would be facing the stress of my own country becoming an authoritarian nation, led by puny tin pot dictator. On my wedding day, when hubby and I looked into the future, all we could see was incredible happiness. We were blind on love and hope. Life was shiny and happy for a long time. Then we lived through our share of tragedies, as most folks do in the course of a lifetime, but the last 10 years, better know as the era of Trump, has been among the worst of our life, for so many reasons. 

So yes, I am stressed.

But his speech isn't until tomorrow night. Let's get through today, shall we?

I hope Todd Blanche isn't confirmed.

She has already been complaining about Trump not assisting her with legal bills. But Rudy Giuliani is also facing financial woes from a divorce, and various lawsuits and criminal charges, pleading out might an attractive prospect. And again, has complained Trump has done nothing to help out with the financial pain. I am sensing a pattern here. Trump has always thrown his inner circles under the bus. If I can see it, why can't these people see it too? How he ever got anyone to support him is baffling to me. I guess it's just how cults work.

OMG, can you imagine if Donald Trump had done an episode of The Love Boat? I found myself pondering that for about 30 minutes the other day, after I spotted that meme of Trump's mug shot. His dumb puss is now on t-shirts, hats, posters and, as you might imagine, mugs. He had made the t-shirts available for order before he even got back on his plane to return to New Jersey, after his booking! He has no dignity. He will continue making money off his own mug shot, demonstrating what truly matters to him, the almighty dollar. Although I suppose if ever there was a time to cash in on his image, now is it!

 

But the cheesy slogan, "Never surrender" is nothing short of a bad joke, because he literally had just surrendered! And to add an additional bit of snicker to the whole situation, Chris LaCivita, whose one of Trump's top advisers, threatened to "go after" anyone who markets Trump's mugshot image in anyway. That silly man thinks he owns his own mugshot image? And he was president? And his "top advisor" didn't know any better either? So all things considered, I think the title of The Love Boat episode would be, Never Surrender. Which let's face it, sounds a lot like the title of a drugstore romance novel, and Trumps co-stars would be 282 Electoral Collage votes he managed to receive in the 2020 election.

Does all this finally answer the question of how we got here?

And there you have it! 5 indictments. But he said 7! Was it a slip of the tweet? Has he received two addition target letters that he has not formally made public? Sorry, I don't count Truth Social as making it public! I am not sure what's going on, its always like a walk through HELL with him, when it come to trying to figure out what comes next! January 5th And January 6th Part One

Things aren't exactly written in stone yet, but it seems that we pulled out a real win tonight. Georgia's runoff election has turned Georgia a solid purple, and put two more democrats in the United States senate, unseating Mitch McConnell as Senate Majority Leader and making it possible for President-elect Joe Biden to get things done, like senate confirmations of his cabinet picks! So, you'd think I would be over the moon happy... right? Well, I am, but as I sit here typing this post, I am all too aware that Trump's army, Roger Stone, Michael Flynn and some assorted domestic terrorists who call themselves, "Proud Boys" are in Washington D.C. tonight, with the specific intention of starting America's second civil war later today, after Vice President presides over the Electoral College vote certification.

 

I don't know how things will play out later, and my anxiety level is off the charts. I don't think I will be doing much sleeping tonight, and I probably won't sleep much tomorrow either. Pence has already told Trump that he cannot throw the election out, and name him president, but Trump thinks of it as Pence being disloyal to him, and in a way he is right. Pence took an oath to the Constitution, not Trump, and that is something Trump doesn't, or refuses to, understand. So, will today end in violence caused by domestic terrorism? If that isn't enough to worry about, apparently there was a threat by someone, possibly Iran, to fly a plane into the Capitol later today. This one of those times when I literally have NO IDEA about how bad things could go. 

 

For right now, yesterday, January 5th, was a very good day. I am just going to concentrate on that. 2021 has gotten off to a pretty great start. January 6th might not be the best day on earth, but America won a very important battle yesterday, so despite everything, we will always have that. History will remember who, why, and how our victories have happened. So, if today, January 6th, ends badly, if Trump's coup actually happens because of the acts of sedition of those who know better, history will remember that too. Life as an American will change forever, but I just can't believe that it will happen. America has been through a lot, and we are still standing... right? Hopefully by our next Independence Day, this will all be nothing but a bad dream, and Trump will be in prison.
