Pay It Forward

From The Purrallel Universe... Pay It Forward

"No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted."

~Aesop

I am sick. Ugh my stomach is messed up. It has happened on and off since the first round of Covid-19 (Omicron). It's part of the same thing that won't let me eat certain foods anymore. It all started, just like everyone else that has this long covid symptom, about 6 weeks after the last fever of the virus. At first it was a wide variety of foods that I couldn't tolerate, but now it's basically, mushrooms, spinach, garlic, chicken skin, pineapple and most nuts. It's not so bad, but when it all flares up, it keeps me sitting still and sleeping on my back. Anyhoo... I am exhausted and grumpy, and when that happens, I love to visit this little cat community on Youtube called, Purrallel Universe. It makes me feel better, and in the case of this video, it reminds me to pay forward, all the blessings I have in my life. To encounter strangers with kindness and empathy. It never hurts anyone to be a better person, and to find one's better angels. So enjoy the video, and subscribe to the account. You'll love following their adventures, and perhaps identifying with their message of hope, family, and life.

Happy Easter 2024

Easter is…
Joining in a birdsong,
Eying an early sunrise,
Smelling yellow daffodils,
Unbolting windows and doors,
Skipping through meadows,
Cuddling newborns,
Hoping, believing,
Reviving spent life,
Inhaling fresh air,
Sprinkling seeds along furrows,
Tracking in the mud.
Easter is the soul’s first taste of spring.

Making Wishes: Quotes, Thoughts, & a Little Poetry for Every Day of the Year

I am a person of faith, and I don't speak about it much here because my faith is too personal to expose it to the ugliness of social media, but all the blessings you see listed above, and more, is because of God, and his son Jesus Christ. If you aren't a person of faith, I stand by you, I will not try to change you or your values in any way, you have my respect in your values, but on this one day, allow me to share the part of me that I keep to myself. My faith. Believe me, I have felt God's love and empathy in this past year, as I have navigated the death of my sister, niece and nephew. It helped me get back up from my depression and I am beginning to move on. I think about them every day, but the lingering sadness isn't lingering as much anymore. I hate this last part of letting go, because then they will really be gone, but there is a strength in all this, and it has come through really hard work, and God being there every step of the way!

And by the way, Joe Biden is right...

“There will come a day, I promise you, when the thought of your son, or daughter, or your wife or your husband, brings a smile to your lips before it brings a tear to your eye. It will happen. My prayer for you is that day will come sooner than later.”
~Joe Biden

Happy Easter to you and your family.
I hope your day is filled with love, warmth,
and every blessing and kindness too.
Never forget the strength of kindness.
Don't forget to be kind to yourself.

Happy St. Patricks Day

"St. Patrick's Day is an enchanted time...
a day to begin transforming winter's dreams into summer's magic."

~Adrienne Cook

May your blessings outnumber
The shamrocks that grow
And may trouble avoid you
Wherever you go!

Life With Joey

"If cats spoke, it would say things like, "Hey, I don't see a problem here."

~Roy Blount

Can you believe Joey is a year old? I can't believe, we have owned him almost a year! He came running into our lives last year, on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and it was pretty much love at first sight for all of us! And while adding another cat to our family was the last thing we had planned, it didn't take long to wonder where he had been all our lives! He is kind, and funny, and very respectful of his big brothers... even Dylan... whose official nickname is Mr. Pissypants, because of his little kitty anger issues. LOL. Joey loves Dylan, and wants to play with him so much, but most of the time Dylan will have none of it. Although Dylan will play the odd game of patty-cake once in a while. Mostly Joey plays with Hendrix, and it been very good for both of them! Hendrix needed a playmate, and Joey needed a big brother, so sometimes things that seem hopeless, have a delightful way of working out! We love our Joey cuddle bug, and we will be a family for a very long time!

This Thanksgiving I Am Most Thankful For Joey!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

"Shamrock only exists on St. Patrick's Day. Every other days of the year, it's just young clover."

-Charles Nelson

I am officially back from my blogging break! I had a nice time. :) I feel much more settled and relaxed, and I have a lot of new things to share, including my new hair color and style, my trip to Nevada, and... well... you will just have to stay tuned. In the mean time, I hope your St. Patrick's Day is a pleasant one, and don't forget the "Wearing 'O The Green," or you might be pinched by a wee leprechaun! ;) I have a nice green sweater all picked out to wear today, and later, I am making a traditional meal of Corned Beef and Potatoes, with all the sides. I might even get in a little time with the camera, as the weather has been nothing short of stunning lately. That is slated to change early next week, some rain is said to be on the way, but that is then, and this is now, and right now, I am focusing on the present, not worrying about the future. :)

May flowers always line your path and sunshine light your day.
May songbirds serenade you every step along the way.
May a rainbow run beside you in a sky that's always blue.
And may happiness fill your heart each day your whole life through!
