Autumn Leaf Of The Day #67... Thanksgiving Edition

"It's a beautiful Fall day. Gentle wind teases stubborn autumn leaves. Some defy the gentle wind and sway. A taunting dance. Come with me and look at the magnificence of the last dance."

~Fidelis O. Mkparu

Autumn Leaf Of The Day #20

“Autumn is a season of desperate hopes. The leaves are souls begging to turn life on pause. Begging to stop, begging to take a break, hiding under smiles and childish words.”

Autumn Leaf Of The Day #2

“Autumn leaves don't fall, they fly.
They take their time and wander on this their only chance to soar.”

A pretty orange flower to start the week!

September Midnight
By Sara Teasdale

Lyric night of the lingering Indian summer,
Shadowy fields that are scentless but full of singing,
Never a bird, but the passionless chant of insects,
Ceaseless, insistent.
The grasshopper’s horn, and far-off, high in the maples,
The wheel of a locust leisurely grinding the silence
Under a moon waning and worn, broken,
Tired with summer.
Let me remember you, voices of little insects,
Weeds in the moonlight, fields that are tangled with asters,
Let me remember, soon will the winter be on us,
Snow-hushed and heavy.
Over my soul murmur your mute benediction,
While I gaze, O fields that rest after harvest,
As those who part look long in the eyes they lean to,
Lest they forget them."

A World Full Of Beautiful Adventures

"I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers."

~L. M. Montgomery
Anne Of Green Gables

October is almost over, but it isn't going quietly! It's singing loud with color, especially in the last week or so! I think he have hit the top of the season, and while I have captured a lot of golden lemon drop leaves, I think the deep reds and purples are winning the competition, for the most beautiful of the leaves! But keep in mind, I haven't been to Nevada yet, and there is still amazing beauty to find!

"October had tremendous possibility. The summer's oppressive heat was a distant memory, and the golden leaves promised a world full of beautiful adventures. They made me believe in miracles."
