Life With The Car And The Placard

“I'm used to functioning in pain, asshole. Are you?”

~Rebecca Yarros

“I love the days when my body cooperates.”

~Rebecca Yarros,

I reported this driver. I don't usually, it was not about getting the driver in trouble, but it was rather to maybe encourage some training and encourage a little less thoughtlessness. It doesn't make a bit of difference how long this truck was there, I was made to walk around the truck, which on that day was a painful venture. I needed that ramp. We might be in spring now, but the wind brings chill from snow in the Sierra's and that chill is like a knife going through my body. It seems I need a little more help then I used to, and that help is a blue placard. Oh well, at least plenty of folks still care about it, you'd laugh if you knew how many times I have been yelled at, after I have forgotten to affix my placard to my mirror! At least I always have it with me, and it's a quick correction, as it's always in my purse! Unfortunately, my memory is usually residing in my make-up bag! I forgot to take a photo for this post, of course I did!

December Days

"December is an old friend; it reminds you of the past, together you share some laughs and tears, you feel warm-hearted through it's freezing outside. But the goodbye is inevitable. May the memories we share with this friend next year be filled with comfort, peace and love."

~Mohamed Atef

The sun was out on Christmas Eve, just enough for me to finish shopping, put the last little details together for our Christmas, and meet Alan for our usual Christmas Eve date. It was a good day, as was Christmas Day! Alan let me sleep in really late, and when I did wake up, Dylan and Hendrix were both cuddled tightly next to me. One at my back, one at my shoulder.

Bliss.

Santa brought me some great new designer boots, a new bread maker, and a corn dog machine!

Overall I very fond of December days. I am loved, and that makes any day the best ever.

Happiness.

The Art Of Walking It Off

"I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me."

~Noel Coward

Parks. I like parks. There are leaves in parks. Sometimes it's autumn in parks. I like autumn in parks because there are leaves everywhere. Did I ever tell you how much I love leaves?

Also...

Did I ever tell you that I have an immature BRAT neighbor?

I don't like my BRAT neighbor because he does BRAT things like letting his dog bark for hours on end.

I like his dog. His dog is just lonely.

I have that pups back if he ever needs a friend.

The neighbor could burst into flames... and I wouldn't put him out.

Unless the dog is in danger from the flames he just burst into.

If the BRAT would.. I dunno... take the pup to the park the pup wouldn't get lonely.

Sigh.

Parks. I like parks. There are leaves in parks.

"You cry... I cry. You laugh... I laugh. You jump off a cliff... I laugh even harder!"

~ Unknown (But they must have had a BRAT neighbor)
