95 Days, Knucklehead

95 more days until the midterm election and we
flip the House of Representatives, and the Senate.

95 Days.

Then it's all about those three little words...

Impeach

Convict

 Remove

95 More Days.

Update: The Knucklehead said this today, isn't it treason to give aid and comfort to our enemies. I'd say publicly letting Iran off the hook for the recent cyberattack on the utilities in Minnesota, and the likely attack on 7 other states! And impeachable offense I believe!

95 days to go, pass the popcorn please.

Yes, I've lost my stressed out mind!

Rigger Tortoise

"Absolute power does not corrupt absolutely,
 absolute power attracts the corruptible."

~Frank Herbert

Where's Mitch McConnell?

Several reports say he's deceased, while still others say he's simply in a coma, an irreversible one, but still alive... sorta. Other reports say he has spoken with at least two lawmakers, for 20 minutes each, but Trump says, Mitch? Mitch who? Understand, anyone who reaches the end of their natural life has my respect for the life given them. I will, after all, be at the last moments of my life one day, and I would hope for the same respect. That being said, the American people have a right to know what's happening with McConnell. We need a video or something that proves he's okay, or he needs to step down or be removed before the mid-term elections. The republican party can't hide this situation for long. It will get out. Calls across politics for full disclosure are on the rise. Governor Andy Bashear, and Nancy Mace and Thomas Massie, just to name a few, are demanding answers! You'd think those around McConnell would be smart enough to know that the truth will come to light eventually, so it would serve them to admit to whatever is going on sooner rather than later. But look who I'm talking about!

It's clear how republican, Thomas Massie, feels about it!

California, Don't Let Me Down

"Here's the truth: for every bill that's too high, there's special interest profiting off keeping it there. They want you to believe that's inevitable. That's just how that market works. But that's BULLSHIT!"

~Tom Steyer
San Francisco Speech
2026

Here we go, it's June 2nd, 2026, California Primary Day!

Come on California, vote with a clear head about all we've been through with Donald Trump. My pick for California Governor is Tom Steyer and Michael Tubbs for Lt. Governor. To be honest, the top offices were pretty much all that mattered to me in my district, however, I am closely watching a race in Central California, Bakersfield, David Valadao, who will face two Democratic candidates with impressive backing by different parts of the party. Physician Jasmeet Bains, and Randy Villegas. Valadao is the last of the republican representatives who voted to impeach Trump, not once, but twice! For that reason I don't hate him, but lets face it, at the end of the day, he's a republican, and you can't trust the lot of them. As my dad used to say, why would you vote for a republican if you don't have to?

And, of course, the race for Mayor of Los Angeles has me on edge. The current mayor, Karen Bass, has had a rocky time, especially after the devastating wildfire ravaged the southland in early 2025! Republicans were there to spread misinformation, that she was never able to get out in front of. Once again, conspiracy theories managed to rewrite history. I believe her biggest opponent tonight will be Spencer Pratt. I can't roll my eyes enough at the mere thought of it!. He's a former reality TV actor. A villain. Who is currently running a campaign right out of Trump's playbook, complete with AI generated superhero imaginations of himself, because, I don't know, everyone loves a Marvel superhero? Everyone wants to be entertained? Pratt has NO experience in governance, in balancing a budget for an entire city, for any kind of emergency response. He's a stupid choice. But L.A. you do you!

I can't make people be smart.
I just pray they act with wisdom when casting their vote.

California, please vote!

Monday, Monday

How much longer will the republican party allow this man to hurt folks, just for the pleasure of hurting people? Just for the sport of it. Trump is a daily embarrassment to this country, and the stress causes is making all of us sicker, aside from that, the provocations to the world may in fact lead to WWIII. Greenland? Seriously? Is it all, really, over the Epstein Files? I certainly think it could be. But whatever it is, I just want to know what's making every single day, just a little bit more depressing, as I get older and older waiting for the midterms. Jay Powell doesn't deserve this, none of us do! Monday, Monday.

Autumn's Fake Gold

"I'm not upset that you lied to me, I am upset that from now on I can't believe you."

~Friedrich Nietzsche

Trump Phones.
Are you surprised they still haven't filled the orders,
almost 5 months after they were due to be delivered?
6 months after the initial rollout?

Nothing this year has surprised me less.

Do I feel sympathy for the folks who trusted him with their $100 deposit?

Nope.

What has to happen before they finally understand who this man is?

Good luck to the gullible.

Read all about the fake gold refurbished phone here...

In Just One Week In Autumn

"And you stand on your stoop or in your door yard at mid-afternoon and watch the cloud shadows rush across Griffin's pasture and up Schoolyard Hill, light and dark, light and dark, like the shutters of the god's being opened and closed."

~Stephen King
Salem's Lot

It's only been a week. Just one week.
And that's not counting my own daily events. It was one of those weeks that makes you turn to Stephen King, just to make it all make sense.

Here's more in pictures...

And there was so much more, including taking Simon and Tyler to be neutered and microchipped. Tyler took the long ride over the Altamont pass really well, Simon, not so much. While in his travel kennel, he cried LOUD and jumped around. He pulled at the metal screen and scared his mommy for about 50 miles of the 70 mile trip. Sigh. But he stopped all complaining when we turned on the 80's channel on Siris XM. What had been a nerve wracking trip, suddenly became a fun filled trip for the whole family. The kitties were in the pet hospital for a couple days, so naturally their mommy got so nervous that her kitties weren't with her, that she got hives! I am so stupid! But what can I say? They aren't just cats they are my babies! I am thoroughly in love with both of them, and I am trying to get photos, but kitten energy makes it tough! Oh well, it will happen. If I don't drop dead from exhaustion!

Just kidding.

San Francsico On A Warm Autumn Afternoon

“It seemed like a matter of minutes when we began rolling in the foothills before Oakland and suddenly reached a height and saw stretched out ahead of us the fabulous white city of San Francisco on her eleven mystic hills with the blue Pacific and its advancing wall of potato-patch fog beyond, and smoke and goldenness in the late afternoon of time.”

~Jack Kerouac,

San Francisco in autumn! Oh my, I spent a lot of time there in autumn, because October is our official vacation month, and there is a lot to do in San Francisco. Airplane flights over the city, Coit Tower, with it's gorgeous views from the observation deck, the SkyStar Ferris wheel at Fisherman's Wharf, there's too much fun to be had. So, why is Trump eyeing San Francisco? Assholeisness, and selfish fuckery political opportunism! There is no reason to bring his storm troopers here. Crime has fallen, and he knows it! And anyway, if it's so bad here, why did he back off, after the Tech giants called and asked him to? It's a bunch of shit. Pardon my expletive! But I mean it. Trump has managed to reach out and ruin several plans I had to make this vacation amazing. I couldn't have lunch at the Golden Gate Bridge... closed due to the Epstein shutdown. The Battery Overlooks... closed to the Epstein shutdown. I can't even visit some places, like the river walk at the Cosumnes River Preserve, here in the San Joaquin Valley. I don't go to San Francisco often, so having my favorite places lost to the shit, hurts deeply. One good thing though, at least for now, Trump has called the invasion of the Bay Area off. No storm troupers, but who knows when he'll get another bug up his ass.

I want to show you the beauty I manage to find. Hope you like the photos!

Here's what I saw on my visit, just a few days ago...

And Your Point?

“Legal plunder has two roots: One of them,
 as I have said before, is in human greed;
the other is in false philanthropy.”

~Frédéric Bastiat,

This happened 10 days ago, and today he becomes president. It doesn't matter, I have given up. I have no more shits to give. If America is this damn stupid, why the actual fuck should I try to change their mind? How dare I! Today, rather than face his disgusting inauguration, I am off to find some new birds for the file, and afterwards enjoy a lovely dinner out with my husband. In other words, I am not going to give him the power I did the last time around. I am going to enjoy my life as much as possible. Oh, I am sure I will vent my anxieties from time to time, but for the most part, I am choosing to be happy!

I am really going to try to be a whole person.

Sigh. God I miss, Dylan.

Chaos At Event In Pennsylvania

“Those who wish to be feared seem to forget
humanity's tendency to kill those they fear.”

~Wayne Gerard Trotman

I don't want Trump dead. I sure don't want to see innocent rally attendees dead. I want to see him live a very long life in a prison cell.

But this violence is what our country has devolved into, because of a man preaching hate. This is what happens when that same man encourages and indeed rewards political violence.

Did he deserve it? No! But it's not terribly surprising. And I wonder, now that he has been shot, will he rethink the availability of guns? A good guy with a gun, did not save him. A trained man with a gun saved him. I wonder if it will all finally sink in?

More later.

EArthQuakE!!!! Right Under Trump National Golf Club

“An earthquake achieves what the law promises but does not in practice maintain," one of the survivors wrote.
 "The equality of all men".”

~Sebastian Junger

I am not one for conspiracy theories, in fact I think they are kinda stupid, but here are some questions for you to ponder dear readers...

In that the quake hit, right under the Trump National Golf Club, do you suppose Ivana Trump is rolling over in her grave?

Maybe she is of the undead?

Maybe tonight zombie Ivana will rise from the grave to walk the grounds where she was buried, looking for her lost mink?

Maybe zombie Ivana didn't want to miss the upcoming total eclipse of the sun, and the comet that is passing by?

Maybe zombie Ivana is just fucking tired of Trump's bullshit and she want to turn over the documents he buried with her?

I ponder in good fun. I love zombie movies and horror movies in general, so I am just enjoying it. But I will update this post in the event of an actual ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE!

I'm just kidding. Sorta.

Don Poorleone

Note: This post was originally titled, "Shitting Bricks And Howling At The Moon." I found "Don Poorleone" was a trending on Twitter and fell in love with it. It fits so much better! Thank you Twitter!

So, Trump spent the weekend in a massive meltdown. Nuclear meltdown you might say. He is about to lose Trump Tower, and some additional properties, perhaps even Mara-Lago. No one wants to lend him the money so he may just file Bankruptcy. Again. Monday morning should be interesting. What stunt will he pull to unleash his wrath at being made to look like a fool? An even bigger fool then he looks already! So Bankruptcy or no Bankruptcy? That is the question! He admitted over Truth Social that he has the money to pay this judgement, so will it be seized? But if he really doesn't have the money, does that mean that he committed perjury when his lawyers filed a brief last weekend that indicated that he didn't have the money? Will new charges be filed for that? Who was lying? Trump or the lawyers?

Stay Tuned...

Goodbye, Farewell, Auf Weidersein To You... ROT IN HELL!

“...the Nation would have no recourse to deter a President from inciting his supporters during a State of the Union address to kill opposing lawmakers—thereby hamstringing any impeachment proceeding—to ensure that he remains in office unlawfully..."

~Court filing to the U.S. Court of Appeals
for the District of Columbia Circuit
 12/30/2023

This morning, Special Prosecutor Jack Smith filed an 82 page request with a D.C. appeals court asking them to reject Trump's assertion of presidential immunity. That quote above pretty much sums up his argument. How fucking scary is the prospect of something like that actually happening? The court is scheduled to return it's verdict on his request on January 9th. Hope, at least the way I am looking at it, is hanging by a thread. We could lose the country I grew up in. Humans tend to not learn from history. Sometimes I wonder why it is even taught in school. Wait... is it still taught in schools? If you follow the news at all, I guess it depends on where you live what history is. You know what they say, history is written by the winners. In America's current state that might have never been more true.

I wish Trump would just stop hurting everyone. I will never have a day in the remainder of my life where his name won't be mentioned somewhere. God I miss the 1970's. It was the last decade before Trump became a household word. Now not only do we have Trump, but we also have his grubby little minions, like Alex Jones, who was recently allowed back on X. A platform I plan to move on from very soon. New Year's Eve to be exact. I was supposed to pull the plug last year, and I ended up staying out of laziness. SHAME ON ME! No more. NO MORE. I am done. I just hope my pals come with me, it's lonely starting over, and besides the good folks I know are better than X. There is better out there for all of us. I will be on Threads, Facebook and IG. Hey, Xander Berkeley just followed me the other day, and I will find some new folks I wouldn't have met otherwise. But nothing will replace my Twitter pals.

 All is not lost.

We are all better than X.

Big Mouth Blues

“Right is right, even if everyone is against it,
and wrong is wrong, even if everyone is for it.”

~William Penn

And it's terrifying.
