#5 It May Look Like A Walnut

"Why are scary movies always in creepy places like jails and hospitals? I want a scary movie in Walmart.
'Clean up on aisle 13' "But sir... there is no aisle 13."

Does it get any better than this? Its the perfect sitcom Halloween episode. It's fun to scare yourself sometimes, and who doesn't love Walnuts and Danny Thomas?

ENJOY!

Flames Of Autumn Orange

"The Sussex lanes were very lovely in the autumn. Spendthrift gold and glory of the year-end. Earth scents and the sky winds and all the magic of the countryside which is ordained for the healing of the soul."

~Monica Baldwin

I don't know what these trees are, but I will definitely be tracking it down before next autumn, because they are gorgeous. Small orange leaves. Stunning. Especially when passing by a full orchard of them. The Central Valley is known for certain crops. Nut trees. Almonds and Walnuts. Fruit. Apricots in particular. I will figure it out. All I know is, I am going to have plenty to research this year, to keep my mind off all the things that would ordinarily worry me. The Audubon Guide to Trees, Western Edition, will definitely be on my list for Santa Claus.

A Face In The Crowd: Mr. Walnut At Work And At Play!

"For a moment at least, be a smile on someone else's face."

~Dejan Stojanovic, The Sun Watches The Sun

The last time I wrote a "Face In The Crowd" post was way back on April 5th! I was beginning to think that I wouldn't see any more this year, but yesterday, in Apple Hill, I saw a delightful face! Meet Mr. Walnut! And look at that, not only do we get to see Mr. Walnut as an average Walnut about town, but we get to see Mr. Walnut while he is on the job!

See... He has his own helmet!

I am pretty sure Mr. Walnut works in construction! And commutes. Clearly he is standing in line, at the Market Street Railway, waiting for the F Line Streetcar.
