The Full Beaver Moon And Impeachment Popcorn

"The winter will be short, the summer long,
The autumn amber-hued, sunny and hot,
Tasting of cider and of scuppernong."

~Elinor Wylie
Nets To Catch The Wind

Just a short post today. A celebration of the Full Beaver Moon, and the Impeachment of Donald John Trump. I can't call him president anymore, because I feel no respect for the office of the presidency. Not his presidency. I felt for a long time that to refuse him his title was silly and argumentative, but I can't do it anymore. I just can call him president.I smile to myself the other day, when I realized that popcorn kinda looks like autumn. Little puffy pieces of autumn. It also looks like impeachment, which is the reason we bought the cool little cart for. I won't lie, I have been praying for this day for a long time. He's cruel. And he's selfish. He refuses to learn. He seems to be cognitively ill. All things that need to be addressed, and hopefully they will be. Hopefully, by Christmas, this nightmare will be over, and we can work on undoing all the damage that's been done. At least some of it. Hopefully, we will heal as a nation.

Hopefully

I watched the Impeachment Trial of Richard Nixon, and of William Jefferson Clinton, and I will be watching this one two. Politics. Either way, the full moon will probably make it all stranger that it would have been otherwise, full moons do that.

Gingerbread Men

"One of the most glorious messes in the world is
the mess created in the living room on Christmas day. Don't clean it up too quickly."

~Andy Rooney

Alan and I put up our Christmas tree this past week, and it's going to be posted here soon, but until then there are a lot of things still to do to make everything in the house all merry and ready for the big day. One thing being the ordering of a nice flower arrangement! I love fresh flowers in the house for Christmas, especially organic roses. Why do they have to be organic? Well, see, Hendrix loves the taste of rose petals! He eats them like you or I would eat potato chips. LOL. Or for the holiday... Gingerbread men! He actually whines for them whenever I bring roses in the house. He found a taste for them when I began my organic rose garden some years back. I checked and it seems that roses are not a toxic plant for cats, unlike most traditionally Christmas decorative plants. Poinsettias... toxic. Pine... toxic. Lilly... toxic. Mistletoe... toxic.
 TOXIC, TOXIC, TOXIC!
That's okay, I will just have to muddle through with gorgeous red roses!

The things we do for love!

Ellipsis Monday Photo Shoot #21: Youngins'

"In youth we learn; in age we understand."

-Maria Von Ebner-Eschenbach

NOW CLOSED!

EMPS #21: Youngins'.
This week lets have some fun with youth, ours or someone else's. Grab your cameras and show me some YOUNGINS'. Kittens, puppies, baby birds, baby carrots, baby elephants, seedlings, a new moon, human babies and children, anything or anyone that is currently in it's YOUTH will do. So let your imaginations out to play with this one. If you do choose to show off some human YOUNGINS' please remember not to give away their exact locations in your entries. John Scalzi used to pass along that bit of wisdom when he was running that Monday Photo Shoot, and it just seems like a good thing to continue doing. So keep that in mind when you do your posting. :)

Extra Credit:
As in my photo above show me sibling YOUNGINS'.
