Round Robin Challenge: See The Music

From For Ellipsis

Barefoot In The Park...

Music... what would life be like if there were no music? Boring and sad I think. I took this photograph way back in 2005, just a few months after Alan gave me my digital camera. I was in Golden Gate Park, just soaking up all of the spring beauty of the tulip garden, when this lady walked past me, strumming on a guitar. Street performers are pretty common place in San Francisco, but this lady was so pretty, and her guitar playing was so soft, that it caught me off guard. It was a cloudy day, and her music was soft and ethereal. It was one of those moments that I found myself thanking God for the invention of the camera, because it was one of those moments you want to be able to visit again and again.

Thanks Karen. This challenge reminded me of a really nice day. :)

See how talented you are..half a person in the photo and you can pull it off..I would have deleted it..or cropped her out..and I would have lost the essence of the photo.
Very nice! :)

This is an absolutely stunning pic. Great composition, love the perspective of the curve.
A great capture of the woman in motion, wish I could hear what she was playing. And the Tulips....my favourite!

You've made my day, now I want to hop on a plane and come to SF. Thanks!

Please drop by my blog and comment as well. I value your input.

Carly, I think this is a beautiful photograph, love how you have the curve of the sidewalk in there. It just tells a complete story, nice composition, and I love to collect quotes, and I have never read the one you used, so thank you, I will add this one to my collection.

Enjoy the rest of the week end!

Hi Carly, In firefox I cannot see your entire photo..and nothing moves. I will try it from Explorer..and see if I can figure it out:)

Ok, I guess you must have meant that you need to click on the photo to get it to expand into the other photo program..that is as near as I can figure it out:)

Well, it displays for me in Firefox (I have it set for wide screens; perhaps that's why), and what a wonderful pic it is! It could be an early scene from The Sound of Music, young Maria walking purposefully along through the beautiful countryside!

Beautiful shot Carly!
I just prayed those multiple windows wouldn't start opening checn I clicked over here. Your blog isn't the only one I've had trouble with that on lately! I hope blogger gets the issue taken care of. It's so frustrating!
