"A weed is but an unloved flower."
-Ellen Wheeler Wilcox
One of the most interesting Round Robin topics of 2008 was "Weeds Can Be Beautiful Too." I had a wonderful time finding weeds, identifying them, and appreciating their beauty. I always learn so much from these challenges, so I think it is good thing if I participate every now and again with folks taking on my Monday Photo Shoot assignments. :) I found this weed in my yard just yesterday. It is a tiny little thing, smaller then a dime, but just kinda lovely and soft. :) It wasn't easy to photograph, because the wind has been outrageous this week, but the effort I put in was enjoyable. :)

Hi gang! That weed looks fun to roll in but not to chew. To cottony for chewing.
Hey, I read about your outdoor adventures! Dylan, you stick close to your mommy and don't go wandering where she can't see you. Hendrix, I'm glad you aren't a big hunter. I had to do that before I was rescued and trust me, stinky goodness is better.
Carly, I have a thing for weeds....they get such a bad rap. And ya know? You did this one incredible justice! It's lovely...

A beautiful weed! Well captured.
simply gorgeous!!!
I like flowering weeds, I do not agree with the Wilcox person :-).
I think we may have some of the same beautiful weeds in our yard. This was a fun challenge to do and a fun one to see what others have to share.
Carly, You even make the weeds look great..beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
I got a new old lady camera..so all my photos will be taken with it, unless I used an archived photo and then I will declare it. ..I would appreciate more constructive critism...you know suggestions..try this..too much sky..too much whatever..
This new Old Lady camera is just a simple Canon SX110 IS I do want to improve..gosh when I was camera shopping..some of them have so many dials and functions..confusing..so I went with non confusing for the moment:)
That's such a pretty weed! Very clever of you to pick it out to photograph.
It looks nice, but I have a feeling it would make me sneeze. :)
