Round Robin Challenge: Summer Gardens

"Flowers are beautiful hieroglyphics of nature, with which she indicates how much she loves us."

-Wolfgang von Goethe

rRose, author of the journal, "WAIT-NOTYET" has chosen, "Summer Gardens," as the subject for this Round Robin challenge. I didn't plant a summer garden of my own this year, so I decided it might be fun to show you some of my favorite public gardens, and how lovely they can be in summer. :) Thank you rRose, for the chance to reflect on one of the loveliest parts of summer...the flowers! :)

Lets begin with the Conservatory of Flowers, located in Golden Gate Park. The above photo shows it from a distance. It is always stunning, now matter what time of year you visit. In that it's basically a hothouse, you are treated to the very best of summer florals, not just outside the conservatory, but inside as well. The orchids are my favorite.

Awww Carly! You have brought back so many good memories of my past. Thanks for sharing these and reminding me to get back there soon. Beautiful shots!

I love all those pics, but particularly the 6 sisters! My Dad was born in SF and he remembers those :-)

I played.

As always Carly, a stunning entry!

I am so in awe of your photos, girl. I would love to paint that 6 sisters Alamo picture one day. May I use your photo for a reference?

The more I see your pictures, the more I want to move to San Francisco!

Thanks for the treat!

Wow, that's quite a few gardens for one city. My favoite here is the Six sisters, but the aquatic park intrigues me,too.

I'm WAY backed up on my blog reading, but I'll be back later tonight to play catch-up!

Hi Carly,

I was wondering if I could include your photo taken from Alamo Square on our blogspot:

http://parkopolis.blogspot.com/

As it is beautiful and I'm having a hard time finding Alamo Square photos to post.

??

I can include your name, at your request.

Please let me know. Thanks!
