Ellipsis Monday Photo Shoot #146: Foregrounds And Backgrounds

"Despite all the things we all experience, like heartbreak and pain, it takes being able to get through it to realize the beauty of life. All the negative makes you realize the things that matter. It puts the petty things in perspective."

-Jason Peters

EMPS #146: FOREGROUNDS AND BACKGROUNDS NOW CLOSED!
This assignment is a bit more detail oriented. For this assignment please create a new photo that concentrates on both the FOREGROUND AND BACKGROUNDS in detail. Meaning, please create an image that shows one or the other in fine detail, while keeping the other in enough focus to tell what it is.

Extra Credit: Take the same subject and show the opposite result.

Guidelines for Assignment Submissions...

1.The EMPS closes each Sunday evening at 9:00 PM (ET). No submissions will be accepted after that time.

2. Submit your entry by getting your photo, uploading it to you blog or website, and then comeback here and leave me your link in the comment thread. PLEASE REMEMBER... THE LINK YOU LEAVE MUST GO BACK TO AN ENTRY WHICH IS SPECIFIC TO THIS WEEK'S ASSIGNMENT! A general link to your site will not do, and will not be added to the list of those participating the following Monday. HYPERLINKS ARE NOT ACCEPTED!

3. Please be sure to provide a link back to the assignment in your submission, so your readers can find the assignment and join us. Everyone is welcome to play along!

4. Please keep in mind that the image you submit for the EMPS assignment, must be your own original photography. NO LIFTING!

Ellipsis Monday Photo Shoot #84: In The Forefront

"Love is like wildflowers, it's often found in the most unlikely places."

-Unknown

EMPS #84: In The Forefront. NOW CLOSED!
Ok photographers, grab your cameras and show me a photograph of an object specifically in the FOREFRONT. The purpose of this week's assignment is to make us more aware of not just what's in front of us, but the backgrounds of our photos as well. I want to see some photography that captures the imagination. Any subject will do, it's all up to you, but this week... NO ARCHIVES! Get out in the air, and find your subject! Concentrate on both the FOREFRONT and the background, but make the FOREFRONT the star of the show!

Extra Credit: Share a little about what it was like to take your photo. How did you decide on a subject? How did you decide on the background setting? Help out your fellow photographers by sharing your experience with us.

**PLEASE READ**
This Monday Photo Shoot ends next Sunday, at 9:00 PM ET. That means you have until that time to get your photo, upload it to your blog, journal or website, and comeback here with the direct link back to it. Please remember, the link you leave in the comment thread must be a link which goes back to an entry which is specific to this week's photo shoot assignment. NO HYPERLINKS. I need your full link left in the comments, so I can add you to the Linking List which is posted next Monday with out next assignment. :) Also, please link back to this assignment, so those who visit your site will be able to join us!
