RRC: Wildlife
Suggested by Nancy, of the blog, Nancy Luvs Pix
I wasn't sure I would be playing this round. I haven't been out with the camera as much as I would like to be. The weather has been downright chilly here in the Bay Area, and my arthritis has been bothering me. I didn't want to miss out, so I did some backyard photography and captured a lovely moth and a butterfly or two, and then I pulled out a couple photos from my archives which hadn't been previously posted, including some new photos of my two favorite wildlife representatives, Dylan and Hendrix. Enjoy. :)
The weather will be HOT beginning today. The local meteorologists are calling it "DANGEROUSLY HOT." YUCK. A different reason to stay home. Oh well. Maybe some evening shots are in order this week. Sunsets and neon. Stay tuned. :)
Thanks for the great suggestion Nancy! I am looking forward to seeing every one's wildlife photos!

those are all great pictures; I liked the butterfly one; sorry its been so chilly up there; it was June gloom down to the south of you but we are now going into summer HOT too
betty
They are absolutey GREAT PICS!
You did very well, maybe your turtle would play with mine??
The butterfly shot is awesome, I have not been lucky to capture one in motion.
Talking about heat wave, it's over 33C here in Hong Kong but adding the humidity, it's deadly!
I value your comment as well, drop by if you have a min.
Take care Carly!
Carly, great photos, every one of them. My fav is the butterfly. Happy week end.expork
Awww. I love the turtle picture! You did a great job of getting down on his level, eye-to-eye, so to speak! I enjoyed your selection this week.
Thank God you DID play, Carly...you did such an awesome job! For almost "throwing something together", I can hardly believe it.
Mine's up now too.
Hugs,
Nance

I am so jealous of the wildlife you "captured".. such beautiful pictures!
always love to see your kitties :-)

Great job Carly, I also like seeing your boys! The photo of the deer is excellent! Well they are all good! :)
Beautiful pictures! I especially love that turtle--looks like he wants to be swimming if only he was in the water!
Love your turtle picture. I had a turtle like that when I was a girl but unfortunately a neighborhood dog got to it. That was quite traumatic for me! Your kitties make great wildlife outside, too. I can't call mine that because they live indoors, except for when Silver manages to slip out. LOL! Great shots, all of them!
You got a great big "Awwww!" out of me when I saw that beautiful turtle! Hang in there, and I hope you get a break in the weather soon. It's getting muggy here, too, so much so that I've got to be careful when, where and for how long I take the dogs gallivanting. Feel better!
How hot is there now? Over here it's hovering around 32-34 degrees Celsius, plus it's so humid! but we got used to it, since that's the the same all year round with some intermittent rain which bring some relief.Worst part is Haze is coming back!
I love the shots of the butterfly, they are not so easy to photographed.
Nice job, Carly. Great shots and the butterfly especially since they are so hard to photograph in the wild. I'll be back tomorrow to find out what next weeks challenge is ;~)
