The Invincible Autumn

"Fall Colors are funny. They're so bright and intense and beautiful. It's like nature is trying to fill you up with color, to saturate you so you can stockpile it before winter turns everything muted and dreary."

~Siobhan Vivian, Same Difference

I know what you're thinking... "Here she does again, yammering on about autumn." LOL. Of course you aren't wrong. I am yammering on about autumn, but to be fair, when it's cold outside, and a bit gloomy and maybe even a tad depressing, my eyes, almost instinctively, look toward any natural color that is to be found. Sometimes it's a gorgeous sunset, sometimes an amazing rainbow, but somehow if there is just one autumn leaf still hanging on for dear life, I feel like I must give it the gift of photographic immortality. And if I am lucky enough to still find a tree that is covered with autumn light, I spend a few moments under it, and pray that autumn won't take too long to comeback.

:) Beautiful In Winter...

And as if the occasional collection of invincible autumn leaves wasn't enough to make me smile, I am happy to report some significant progress has been made in riding the cottage of the ants, but the battle continues!
