His Own Worst Enemy

"No man suffers injustice without learning vaguely, but surely, what justice is."

-Isaac Rosenfeld

I wonder, do you think O.J. Simpson is smirking today, as he was in this photo taken during his arrest in Las Vegas in the autumn of 2007? Last Friday, 13 years to the day of his acquittal for the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson, and Ronald Goldman, O.J. found himself in yet another courtroom, but this time the word on the moment was GUILTY! No one was killed this time around, thank goodness, but it didn't make his latest crimes any less repugnant. As a result of his actions, he could be sentenced to life in prison. I hope that is the exact sentence he gets. We will all be safer. It's a shame about the people he has hurt, most pointedly his children, who will always be hurt because of him. My heart goes out to them. O.J. Simpson is a selfish, and dangerous human being, and now he will have plenty of time to face that fact. I hope he uses his time well.

"The day you take complete responsibility for yourself, the day you stop making excuses, that's the day you start to the top."

Disgusting is definitely a word I would use to describe him, too, Gattina. If more evidence of him taking the law into his own hands was needed, this robbery certainly was that. I am very happy that he was convicted and I hope he spends the rest of his life in prison! You're right, Carly, it's sad about the kids, though. I wish them the best as they make their way in life but having a dad like him is certainly not going to make things easy for them, I don't think.
