I took this photo last Tuesday, along HWY 50, just a few miles south of South Lake Tahoe. The hillside was just glowing with every imaginable color of autumn! It was stunning to be sure. I didn't take as many photos that day as I would have liked to, because we were on our way to Reno, but tomorrow (Monday) I am going on a day trip to Plumas County, to see the gorgeous autumn trees there, and I am really looking forward to that! It will be good to be able to take my time, and put my camera through a hefty workout. According to the Plumas County website, this weekend is the height of the color in the area, and that confirms what I have been reading in the Farmer's Almanac. California is putting on quite a show, I can't wait to see it for myself! Wish me luck!

Thanks darlin! Actually, it is sometimes a matter of dumb luck, and sometimes it is a matter of doing a little research into weather conditions. Anyone can take photos like mine, or better with just putting a little research into things. :) I will start mentioning some of my favorite tips soon.
