Pretty Birds

"When birds burp, it must taste like bugs."

-Bill Watterson

Just a quick entry today. I am super tired after a long day of spring cleaning. Time to get rid of all my out of style clothes and clothes that no longer fit. Gosh that's difficult. When I find a piece of clothing I enjoy... I hang on to it for dear life! LOL. Oh well, Alan has promised me a big day shopping in the city, this coming spring, and I bet it wouldn't be too difficult to talk him into making a day of it, complete with dinner afterwards. We'll see. YAWN. Well, I am off to bed, but first, tell me, do you have a difficult time parting with clothing, or are you happy to pass your used clothing along at the end of a season?

Pass clothes along at the end of the season? Honey, I have things from the 80s still hanging in my closet. LOL

Nice picture of sparrows. I think those are the kind that sing.

I have a real hard time parting with clothing. I think my rule is, if I haven't worn it in FIVE years, it goes....usually.

However, moving forced me to be less sentimental this year. The next clothing purge may be a long time coming.

this would be one of those times where, as my darling husband says, that i make no sense at all.
as a rule, i try not to hang on to too much stuff and that includes clothes....but then again, i am very sentimental and struggle giving away or casting aside even articles of clothing. i have to confess that at this moment hanging in my closet are several pairs of amazing jeans and slacks in a size 10 because although size 12 is a probably too tight right now, i swear i will get into those size 10s and yes, i am working hard at it too.
after my very first shopping excursion in the city this past december i have to say that i am a bit green over your anticipated trip this spring.
lucky you! of course it couldn't happen to a nicer person.

hmmm, you mean those things I have tucked away from High School? Heck! I'm only 63, I may fit in them again some day! (*you believe that?heh)

I tend to keep it all until it's either torn or hopelessly stained. I end up with layers of forgotten clothing that may fit again, someday.
