My Weekend Of Fun :)

"Even if happiness forgets you a little bit, never completely forget about it."

-Jacques Prevert

Here, as promised, are the photos I took this past weekend. It was fun to have Alan home on a weekend, it is a rarity with his job, so we made the most of it. We did a lot, shook off a lot of stress we have been feeling because of Elvis's diabetes, so it was a good time for us... all of us! I had planned to go over to San Francisco on Sunday to photograph the parts of a clipper ship, from the 1800's, which recently washed ashore on Ocean Beach, but by the time Sunday came around my energy level was simply too low. Sigh. The ship only surfaces about every 20 years, so I guess I will just have to plan on being available again in 2027. LOL. Stay tuned. :) For now enjoy the photos from the chili cook-off from Friday night, where I bought the yummy kettle corn you see in the above photo, the Rowell Ranch Rodeo Parade on Saturday morning and the Kaboom concert Saturday night!

Friday Night...

Hannah, of Java Bob's coffeehouse. She makes the best mocha's!

Hannah also made the best chili of the cook-off! We voted for them to win!

Saturday Night...

KABOOM! KFOG 104.5

I look forward to the second weekend in May every year, it is a good chance to shake off all the worries and woes, and just kick back and have some fun. We needed that, and it paid off. I was finally able to give Elvis his injection, and I did it perfectly. That was a major weight lifted off me. After I failed twice to inject him properly, I considered not ever trying it again. I think all I needed was to take a step back and relax, and this weekend did that for me. I know it will all be fine now!
