Round Robin Challenge: Bottled Up!

From For Ellipsis

"What is the definition of a good wine? It should start and end with a smile."

-William Sokolin

RRC: Bottled Up
Suggested by Kim, author of the blog, Nekked Lizard Adventures, with variations by Karen, and myself.

From For Ellipsis

There were three variations on the theme this time around, so I thought I would do something really different for me, I photographed a favorite wine. As a diabetic, I don't drink alcohol very often, but sometimes in the middle of summer, when it's been a particularly nice day, and I want something nice and light for dinner, I fix up a cheese and fruit platter, and maybe add in some cinnamon frosted pecans, and pour a nice chilled glass of wine. Something nice and fruity like this chardonnay. It's a nice way to dine on a Friday or Saturday night.

I really like the flavor of this wine. It's light and goes really nice with melon. I eat melon everyday in the summer... EVERYDAY! LOL. Cantaloupe is my favorite, but honeydew is wonderful as well. The wine has a nice peachy/honey flavor to it, and when accompanied by a nice cheese like Havarti or Prima Donna Gouda, and it makes for a perfect end to the day.

Well, that's my entry. Now go see what everyone else came up with for this challenge. Just following the links below...

Hi Carley,
I don't drink wine, but your idea of fruit and cheese is awesome. I love apples and cheese. Great evening snack! Have a great day!

What a pretty label on that bottle!

Great picture, (how do you get them so big) and I love the nice fruit and cheese platter to go with it, yum!

Most of the people in Belgium drink wine with their meals as they do in France and Italy too.

Carly, that's a lovely label you have on the bottle.

Wish I could drink but I can't (I'm allegic to it). Anyhow, I used to collect wine bottles when I lived in Canada.

It's balmy hot in Hong Kong this summer, today's temp is over 35C, any cold drink will be a treat!!

Have a good weekend....drink up!

Nice that you can drink the lovely wine. I miss it sometimes -- can't drink it because of meds. Beautiful photos!
