Memorial Day 2008

"Four things support the world: the learning of the wise, the justice of the great, the prayers of the good, and the valor of the brave."

-Muhammad

The War Memorial, in Lafayette, California, is adding additional crosses to the hillside today, not just for the men and woman killed in action in the two wars we are fighting in the Middle East, but to also reflect those who have taken their own life, since returning from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. It's about time we did more for our brave then simply putting a yellow ribbon of support on our cars and windows that says, "Support The Troops." Today, let's remember the total cost of war.

It's a shame that we even have to have one war memorial. I hope with all my heart that our soldiers get to come home soon. This war is such a waste, and its taking too many innocent civilians, and way too many of our troops.
Love you!
