RRC: Roots
Suggested by Vicki, author of the blog, Maraca
It's here... our first RRC of 2010! I enjoyed the time off from this project, but it's a lot of fun to back.
I had to go to the archives for this one. I took a very nice series of photos in Golden Gate Park a couple years ago, it was in autumn, of course, but I don't think I posted these particular photos before, so I hope you enjoy them.

Oh, lovely! That's a fabulously knobby tree in the first shot, and I love the mass of roots and leaves in the second. Viva the RRPC!
I like the second photo too!
Carly, your pictures are beautiful!! I love the way those roots seem to be reaching out into the water.
That top tree is amazing! I've never seen one like it. Do you know what kind it is? The contrast in textures is lovely with the roots in the water, too.
Hope you have a wonderful New Year, m'dear!
Vicki
Neat pictures of roots, especially going into the water and surrounded by leaves. I'm glad we had this theme so you could post them!
Hi Carly,
Great shots! It always amazes me that trees can grow in water. Thanks for stopping by my place. Have a great weekend!
Sherrie
