With One Week To Go; I Can Haz Vote!

"Bad politicians are sent to Washington by good people who don't vote."

-William E. Simon

I Can Has Vote!

Can you believe there is only one more week to go until we choose a new president? It has seemed like it has taken forever to get to this point, and who would have figured we would end up with the exact choices we have? I have already cast my vote, I almost always vote by absentee ballot. It's just nice to be able to sit in my own home, relax, and maybe do a little praying as I mark my choices. It is a comfortable way to vote, but it isn't as exciting as going to the polls early in the morning on voting day. Alan, on the other hand, prefers to vote in person on Election Day. To each his own I suppose. I guess it really doesn't matter how you vote, as long as you vote! Right?

So tell me, will you be voting this year? If so, will you vote in person or by absentee ballot? Do you live in a state that votes early? If so, have you already voted?

I will vote in person this year. Don't know why they are pushing the absentee vote this year but I like going down there.

I went and voted early yesterday. I would have gone in person, as I have every other year, but I fear the lines are going to be unbelievable on Nov 4. And I never have lived in a state that allowed early voting before. It took about an hour and the Court House was packed with people doing the same thing as me.

I made a special point to register in the State of Delaware for just this reason and I will be at the polls in person. We are very much in a precarious position and both sides of the street see the dangers of the other. And of course, those who have opposing views think the others are crazy, so therefore, I will be among the crazies carrying my opinion all the way to the lever!! tee hee.

I completed my absentee ballot on Sunday. I like being able to take the time and refer to the voter-information pamphlets while I vote, since we are so initiative-happy here in California. Now we just have to wait and see what next week brings!

In Oregon, we vote by mail, a system that I really like. I voted a few days ago and got my ballot in the mail -- so convenient! Now I just have to suffer through the next week of campaign ads! LOL!

I voted by absentee ballot this year as did my darling husband...which pretty much guarantees that we canceled each other's votes out! But the exciting thing is that this year, for the first time, my darling daughter #1 is voting and because she didn't get her absentee ballot request turned in on time, she will be voting in person. I am so excited for her because she feels excited and empowered.

No early voting in NY. I wish there was, I'm not really looking forward to the lines. I will be heading to the polls on Tuesday...and taking my daughter who will be voting for the first time!

I have to tell you that is one scary, freaky mummy! I'll be voting in person, probably going with Paul on election day. (Hugs)Indigo
