Where For Art Thou?

"War is a poor chisel to carve out tomorrow."

-Martin Luther King Jr.

There have been 71 journalists from around the world killed covering the war in Iraq.

There have been 2,464 U. S. Military deaths in Iraq.

There have been 17, 648 U.S. Military wounded in Iraq.

There have been 37, 972 Iraqi civilians killed since the beginning of the war.

This is a war based on lies. Every single day it continues, we lie one more days worth. It's obscene! This war didn't have to happen. This war shouldn't have happened. Please remember the journalists, who risk their lives to bring us the truth! Remember the truth! And by the way, where is Osama Bin Laden?

"I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking the world because they would never expect it."

Carly, I agree completely.

I hate that people die for his lies.

And, unfortunately, war will never end.

It's getting to be such a blur of tragedy, death and chaos in Iraq.

It's getting hard to feel. Like numb.

So sad, and not just because of the news people. They're the tip of the iceberg. and yet I recognize two of the three names, which makes it more personal.

In 1974, during the Impeachment hearings on Nixon, I was with some of my Trekkie friends at the home of a Trekkie who was a Vietnam vet. He said his unit had a party the day the official figures of VC killed equaled the entire population of Vietnam.
