Ladies And Gentlemen...The Beatles!

"If everyone demanded peace instead of another television set, then there's be peace."

-George Harrison

As promised yesterday, here is one of the better photo opportunities the geese, in San Ramon, presented me with. When I saw them crossing the road in front of me, I couldn't help but think about my favorite album by the Beatles, "Abbey Road." You know... the one with John, Paul, George & Ringo crossing Abbey Road. That album was released in the United States on October 1, 1969. The cover for the album was photographed by Lain McMillian, who was given just 10 minutes, at around 10:00 AM, to get the shot. It's very cool that there is now a webcam, and all you have to do is click on it to see Abbey Road today. God I love the Internet!

Music is so important to me, it inspires me and makes me feel good inside, even on the harshest of days. One of the most romantic songs they wrote was, "Something." A song which has now been in my head for the last 24 hours. LOL. It's a nice, pleasant song, but when I need to just feel that, "Life Is Good" I always seem to put, "Here Comes The Sun," on the CD player. It's a song about hope, and how if we just hold on through the rain, eventually the sun comes around again...and warms us to the goodness in life that is just waiting to happen...

Here Comes The Sun...

Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right

Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it's been years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right

Little darling, the smile's returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it's all right

Sun, sun, sun...here it comes
Sun, sun, sun...here it comes
Sun, sun, sun...here it comes
Sun, sun, sun...here it comes

Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say, it's all right
It's all right.

Go somewhere today, and smile. :)

Hey, Carly ... What a great picture. Yup, it sure does resemble the album cover. I am also a big fan of 'Here Comes the Sun.' I think it's interesting that even though McCartney and Lennon wrote most of the Beatle's songs, I think this one that George Harrison wrote is one of the loveliest.

Heh, heh, heh. Love it! I always say it's virtually impossible not to be cheerful while listening to the Beatle!
