The electronics stores around here have been running specials on kits with the body, a standard lens, and a zoom for a good price. I hope to take the plunge soon myself.

During the Christmas season, I stopped in at my local Wolf Camera store in the mall. They had the kit deals on a Nikon D60 and a Canon model. Both kits were the same price, but the salesman seemed pretty adamant that the Nikon was the better camera. Whether it was the truth or he just had more of them in stock, I don't know.fdtatehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00556497275110191794noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19022366.post-73866381012162677272009-01-03T10:09:00.000-05:002009-01-03T10:09:00.000-05:00First off, I love the picture of the flower that l...First off, I love the picture of the flower that leads us off for this entry. Great image to get us through the winter months. Second, from the sounds of it, you are thinking about getting my first choice for you which is the Canon 50D. It is a nice upgrade to the 40D that I have, but if you are not interested in the high ISO shooting of the 50D, you can really accomplish the same thing with the 40D....at a cheaper price. Whatever DSLR you get, always remember that its the lenses, not the body, that has the greatest impact on the final image. Canon "L" all the way!

GregAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19022366.post-24052920998649354302009-01-02T14:45:00.000-05:002009-01-02T14:45:00.000-05:00I especially like the "bad kitty" shot. Now she is much gentler and less destructive.

HUGS!Suzanne Rhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00852489169178668615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19022366.post-71224563793381695622009-01-02T13:31:00.000-05:002009-01-02T13:31:00.000-05:00My friends and I are enjoying our Nikon "D" series...My friends and I are enjoying our Nikon "D" series, though still getting to know all the features.
