It certainly appears to have gotten President Bush's attention! I hope he figures out a way to get us out of Iraq soon, as I suspect that many people were voting as much against the war as they were for the individuals who won.Suzanne Rhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00852489169178668615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19022366.post-1163112580739780442006-11-09T17:49:00.000-05:002006-11-09T17:49:00.000-05:00It was one of the most beautiful and satisfying ni...It was one of the most beautiful and satisfying nights of my life.

Truly.jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06495025947391158651noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19022366.post-1163090313676750572006-11-09T11:38:00.000-05:002006-11-09T11:38:00.000-05:00AMEN! Great entry!
I just hope that if Hillary ends up running for President, that the democrats don't lose the vote just because of how many people have it out for her. ya know?

nancyNancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06136883196698277522noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19022366.post-1163081251424086402006-11-09T09:07:00.000-05:002006-11-09T09:07:00.000-05:00Personally, I am just as worried right now as I wa...Personally, I am just as worried right now as I was before, if not so. The democrat/republican thing aside, and ignoring right now any mention of HC as president, which is a horrifying, terrifying, mind-numbingly scary thought, I just think this election we did nothing but make it worse for ourselves.

First, you mentioned republicans voting democrat and democrats voting republican. A few circumstances of that occurred, yes, but ... as with Any election when there is an overall dissatisfaction with status quo...voting fell strongly on party lines, and once again that pendulum swung to the apex...the overwhelming success of the democrats shows that trend, and it is a trend that is verifiable and statistical. people are angry at a president, a senetor, or the state of the nation...which is understandable, justifiable even in cases, but the reaction, instead of delving even deeper into candidate and issue information and make a better decision, is to just start punching ballots for anyone on the opposing party. Some of the people who won office may be good, some may be bad, but i can bet you money marbles or chalk that 3/4 of the poeple that voted for them knew nothing more about them than the (R) or (D) beside their name. So now, we have switched the balance of power in both house and senate. I will be the first to agree that change of some sort is needed, you have seen, over the past year, my growing dissatisfaction with status quo. But do people really think the US government is really now a better place? that instantly we will now have better government? good gods people ... all we have accomplished is now forming a house, senate, and exectuive branch that will spend the next 2 years butting heads and we will accomplish exacctly, absolultely, NOTHING. and at the end of that 2 years, we will once again have a emotion-base, party line election where people vote out their frustrations and angers with impulse, not intent. Solution? i have no clue...but swapping the donkeys and elephants on the "welcome" sign to the white house is not the answer.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19022366.post-1163032857106295242006-11-08T19:40:00.000-05:002006-11-08T19:40:00.000-05:00Maybe even Hilary Rodham Clinton will take the lea...Maybe even Hilary Rodham Clinton will take the lead in this Revolution making history.
