December's Full Cold Moon

"The moon does not fight. It attacks no one. It does not worry. It does not try to crush others. It keeps to its course, but by nature, it gently influences. What other body could pull an entire ocean from shore to shore? The moon is faithful to its nature and its power is never diminished."

~Deng Ming-Dao, Everyday Tao: Living With Balance And Harmony

Meet The Full Cold Moon. Although according to the Farmer's Almanac, Native Americans also call December's full moon the Long Nights Moon. Both names refer to December as the month when nights become long and dark. The winter solstice, happens in less than a week, on December 21st, at 12:11 P.M. EST.

I thought it would be a little fun and decorate the moon a little bit. Tis the season after all!

And One Of The Moon With A Few Clouds...

Spooky, like it should be accompanied by a witch or ghost. I just love a spooky moon!
